Location: Rolling Meadows, IL

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Telecom Engineer-Equipment - II in Rolling Meadows, IL



This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for Engineering and project management of all types of wireless telecom projects including cell site maintenance, construction and vendor management.


• Calculating power and HVAC needs, surveying sites, performing site walks to plan and prep for equipment install.


• Meet with network assurance team, landlords and external installation vendors to assess situations and provide expertise to a recommended solution.


• Manage all project types (HVAC, Power upgrades, general maintenance, new site builds, in-building, carrier adds, special deployments, etc.) from start to finish.


• Responsible for maintaining Budgeting and material inventory related to any assigned projects.


• Prepare purchase orders and ensure proper vendor payment utilizing Procurement Tools.


• Oversee equipment installation and acceptance using Project Management skills.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team members.


• Must be self motivated and have ability to complete tasks with little supervision.


• A minimum of 5 yrs equivalent Telecommunications experience. and/or B.S. Degree a plus.
