Job Description:

Job Summary:

The DTS IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets within the organization. This includes tracking, controlling, and reporting on the acquisition, use, maintenance, and disposal of hardware and software assets. The analyst ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards while optimizing asset performance and minimizing costs.

Responsibilities:


  • Asset Tracking & Inventory Management:
  • Maintains a comprehensive inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Tracks assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in asset management tools and systems.
  • Conducts regular audits to verify asset counts and condition.
  • Procurement & Deployment:
  • Works with the procurement team to ensure that new IT assets are acquired according to budget and policy guidelines.
  • Coordinates the deployment and installation of new IT assets to employees and departments.
  • Cost Management & Optimization:
  • Monitors and reports on the financial status of IT assets, including purchase costs, maintenance costs, and depreciation.
  • Recommends cost-effective strategies for managing and optimizing IT assets, including software subscriptions and hardware renewals.
  • Lifecycle Management:
  • Oversees the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including the proper disposal or recycling of hardware at the end of its useful life.
  • Ensures all data on disposed devices is securely wiped or destroyed in compliance with data protection policies.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Generates reports on IT asset inventory, lifecycle status, and financials for senior management and audit purposes.
  • Maintains accurate documentation for asset management processes, including asset policies and procedures.
  • Compliance & Security:
  • Ensures compliance with organizational, industry, and regulatory standards related to IT asset management.
  • Works with security teams to ensure IT assets meet security requirements and protocols, including asset encryption and access control.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborates with various departments (e.g., IT, procurement, finance) to ensure efficient management of IT assets.
  • Supports IT teams with asset needs for system upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience:


  • Required: Minimum 2+ years of experience in asset management, procurement, or related field. 1+ years of IT Asset Management software and tracking systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti, SCCM, etc.).
  • Preferred: 2+ years' experience in Healthcare.

Education:

Required: High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree or four years additional experience in lieu of education.

Training:

Preferred: CompTIA or similar courses in Information Technology

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with software licensing models and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks; advanced problem-solving; ability to use advanced reasoning to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and design, implement and manage appropriate resolution.
  • Effective problem solving, organizational and time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehend and analyze statistical reports.
  • Ability to communicate positively, professionally and effectively with others; provide leadership, teach and collaborate with others.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to establish and maintain a constructive relationship with diverse members, management, employees and vendors

Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle management principles.
  • Ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes quickly.

Licensure:

  • Required: None
  • Preferred: ITIL Foundation Certification, Certified IT Asset Manager (CIAM) or similar IT asset management certifications. CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical certifications.

  • Travel to Various Company Locations (if applicable): There may be occasional travel required to different company facilities, departments, or vendor locations for asset management purposes, including audits and meetings.
  • Ability to Safely Navigate Workspaces: Must be able to move through office environments and IT storage areas to inspect, maintain, or retrieve IT assets, ensuring proper handling and safety standards are followed.

Pay Range: $37 - $39 hourly.
