ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY : Currently searching for one Part-Time Research Assistant to work on the Alternative Project Delivery Methods in California Transportation Agencies: The Path Forward", under the supervision of Dr. Ghada Gad, Principal Investigator.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
Alternative Project Delivery Methods in California Transportation Agencies: The Path Forward", is a San Jose State Research Foundation funded project that seeks to benchmark the existing use of alternative project delivery methods (PDMs) in local transportation agencies of different types and sizes in California, while considering the characteristics of each alternative PDM and the authorizations enabling its implementation, as well as provide recommendations for key factors to consider in alternative PDM selection and implementation by California's local transportation agencies. The research assistant to be hired on this project, will assist Dr. Gad in various aspects of the research project, including but not limited to; literature review, project team meeting attendance, data collection and analysis, organizing research materials and data; as well as report preparation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be working towards an undergraduate or a graduate degree in civil/construction engineering or have a Bachelor's degree in engineering with limited research experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Research experience is preferred. Must possess excellent communication, self-starter, and leadership skills and have the ability work in a team setting and to positively interact with students and faculty, other project participants..
