Job Description:

Formica is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Commercial Analyst in our Evendale, OH headquarters.  The successful candidate for this role will be intellectually curios and have a passion for finding answers hidden in data.  They will work closely with both the commercial team and business stakeholders to drive growth and increase profit.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and financial data to provide insights to help guide business strategy


• Work with business stakeholders to define KPIs and reports for commercial performance measurement


• Work with business stakeholders & IT to establish systems and processes to capture business-critical data required to calculate KPIs


• Implement reports and dashboards using the Qlik BI platform


• Monitor data quality and resolve any issues in collaboration with data owners


• Establish training programs to ensure key stakeholders have the tools and skills to self-serve basic reporting needs from the Qlik BI platform


• Distribute monthly reports to the executive team that provide insight into business performance and facilitate decision-making


• Create analysis and presentations that condense complex topics into actionable information that is communicated effectively to stakeholders


• Assess and analyze progress towards organizational goals


• Develop mathematical models to predict the financial impact of changes to business strategy


• Develop a deep understanding of both commercial and operational processes

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics or similar field is required


• 5+ years of experience in Analytics or Finance


• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint


• Experience with business intelligence tools, preferably Qlik


• Comfortable using SQL to source data from multiple data sources


• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details


• Ability to understand complex problems and propose solutions


• Ability to manage and prioritize a demanding workload


• Self-motivated and hard-working individual who is goal orientated & capable of working independently


• Excellent communication skills


• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
