Who are we looking for?

The Facilities Maintenance Lead schedules, supervises, inspects, and troubleshoots work performed by contracted maintenance services, performs work-related tasks, and answers on-call duties as required.

What will you be doing?

  • Process work orders and preventative maintenance functions from initial receipt to completion in accordance with established priority guidelines.
  • Performs other maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Purchase inventory supplies and materials in preparation of work order completion and planned maintenance activity and special projects as defined from engineering by preparing and executing bill of materials lists, purchase requisitions, quote gathering, ordering.
  • Responsible for building mechanical maintenance documentation such as permits, filter changes, etc.
  • Maintain electronic databases for workorders, preventative maintence scheduled, and others as needed.
  • Serves as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers and material and equipment providers and all subcontractors.
  • Manage area waste collection sites and transfers of materials.
  • Follows all safety procedures including general site safety rules and Chemical Hygiene Plan.

Who are You?

  • Advanced knowledge and skills including working knowledge of plumbing repairs, refrigeration, boilers, HVAC, security and fire systems with emphasis on plumbing/HVAC.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping procedures and safety measures, being alert to hazards.
  • Ability to comfortably care for and operate maintenance machinery and equipment including drills, saws, motors, electrical connections, pipes, etc.

  • Ability to supervise contracted services while developing and sustaining a professional relationship.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
