Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, the Network and Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for protecting our computer networks from cyberattacks and unauthorized access. Focusing on cybersecurity and network management, this position will work across several IT domains to secure, manage, and troubleshoot critical systems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist in monitoring network traffic, identifying potential security threats, and taking steps to mitigate risks.

· Participate in identifying and reporting security incidents, following predefined protocols to help contain and resolve issues.

· Support the implementation of endpoint security measures, including ensuring antivirus and antimalware tools are up-to-date and running effectively.

· Assist in managing user access to networks and systems in alignment with cybersecurity best practices and organizational policies.

· Assist in managing user access to networks and systems in alignment with cybersecurity best practices and organizational policies.

· Serve as a point of contact for end-user support, providing troubleshooting for hardware, software, network connectivity, and all other IT-related issues.

· Assist users with the setup, configuration, and installation of authorized software, ensuring compliance with security standards.

· Regularly perform maintenance tasks on onsite servers, including system updates and patches, to keep systems secure and operational.

· Manage data backup schedules and support the restoration process as needed to ensure data availability and business continuity.

· Reimage computers for new deployments, ensuring they are correctly configured and secure before distribution.

· Manage the storage and reallocation of computers from former employees, ensuring sensitive data is securely wiped and systems are prepared for reassignment.

· Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including computers, software licenses, and network equipment, ensuring all items are accurately documented and accounted for.

· Occasional weekend support is needed to assist with projects, upgrades, or to address critical issues.

· Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to align on best practices, contribute to process improvements, and support team projects.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Education Requirements/Work Experience:

Associate's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Management, Computer Science, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Sec+ or similar certifications preferred. At least 2 years prior experience in a network and security role.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

· To perform this job successfully, an individual should have understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems; knowledge of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP); and knowledge of server and network management tools. Cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST or ISO 27001, or network administration tasks is a plus.
