Job Overview

The primary care sports medicine physician should have an interest in full spectrum primary care with an emphasis in sports medicine to care for non-surgical musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions and injuries. The primary care sports medicine physician should be comfortable caring for patients of all ages, including adolescents, adults and geriatrics. This position provides primary care sports medicine medical services to the patients of AltaMed and manages assigned patient panel.

Minimum Requirements

1. Requirements include experience and training as a physician.

2. Successful completion of a residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

3. Successful completion of fellowship in Sports Medicine.

4. Board certified or Board eligible in residency specialty

5. Board Certified or board eligible or certificate of added qualification in the Sports Medicine

6. Current, active unrestricted medical licensure for California.

7. Clinically active, working in direct patient care and/or the supervision of patient care.

8. Education, training and experience necessary to meet the underwritten requirements for inclusion under AltaMed’s malpractice insurance coverage.

9. Bilingual Preferred: English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese depending on Location.

10. Current Valid BLS Certification

Compensation

$268,845.28 - $336,056.60 annually
