POSITION SUMMARY:

This APRN will provide weekend coverage in our TGH Newborn Nursery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs professional pediatric nurse practitioner care according to established standards, practices, protocols and in accordance with the Florida Practice act for Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

Participates in QA projects, educational sessions for clinical staff and attends scheduled organizational sessions.

Performs other duties as assigned in specific locations.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.

PREFERRED:

Bachelor in Nursing. APRN in pediatrics preferred but family medicine acceptable.
