Forklift Operator
This position is responsible for ensuring all product and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation. The warehouse is a cold storage and the temperature ranges from -10 to 30 degrees.
This location does not accept rehires currently.
Qualifications
The applicant must have at least one (1) years of continuous work history withsingle employer in the last twelve (12) months.
Preferred Candidates will have 3 months forklift experience or stand-up forklift experience and 3-month RF scanner experience
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
Cold Storage Experience Preferred.
High school diploma or GED
Responsibilities
During your work shift, which will consist of (12) hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and be able to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (50) pounds.
Must be able to use a handheld scanner and vehicle mount screen to efficiently track
Product as it is received, moved around the warehouse, and loaded
Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
Task (May be required to work any or all of these positions)
Receiver - Receives product accurately into the building using PIT.
Put Away - Pulls product that has been received and puts it into the racking. May be required to palletize or split pallets.
Replenisher - Pulls pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.
Picker - (Case picker and full pallet picker) pulls product either in single or full palletized form to take to the dock.
Loader - Loads trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss.
Environment
Most of the time will be driving PIT including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)
You will be provided a freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, and headwear as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE).
Team members will furnish their own boots and must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole.
Team members will be driving stand-up Crown PIT Forklifts and Reach Trucks. May be trained on Cherry picker for additional tasks.
Standing or walking up to 100% of the time
