Summary:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor ensures compliance with quality standards for products produced. Key responsibilities include verifying production paperwork, conducting production floor checks, performing GMP and housekeeping audits, and leading Team Member food safety training initiatives. This role requires judgment to prioritize tasks, evaluate results, and collaborate with others to meet goals. The position is also accountable for maintaining food safety, food quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify production paperwork and ensure accuracy.
Conduct production floor checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Perform GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping audits.
Develop and deliver Team Member food safety training programs.
Maintain compliance with HACCP, USDA regulations, and SSOPs.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with various teams to ensure quality and food safety standards are met.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing production environment.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
HACCP certification preferred; extensive knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMPs, and SSOPs required.
Skills:
Computer: Basic computer skills, including creating queries and spreadsheets; SAP knowledge preferred.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee a small team performing similar tasks, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
