Role Overview
The Data Analyst will work closely with project managers and attorneys to analyze wage-and-hour exposure, damages, and other employment litigation-related data. This includes examining pay stubs, violations, and other data from discovery to provide actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data analytics, statistical analysis, and legal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze employment data for wage-and-hour, wrongful termination, class action, and PAGA claims.
Extract, clean, and structure data from various sources for analysis.
Perform statistical analyses and create reports for internal and client-facing use.
Develop dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Collaborate with attorneys and stakeholders, presenting findings in an accessible manner.
Create and document processes for data extraction, cleaning, and analysis.
Proactively explore data for trends and insights.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
At least 3 years of experience in a data analytics role supporting employment litigation.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL is a plus.
Experience with compensation data and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain technical concepts to non-experts.
Self-motivated, with the ability to manage projects independently.
