Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY


The Sr. Manager, Sales & Market Intelligence works to align the existing sales strategies, as well as the planned sales strategies, with the tools and processes to enable the sales team to execute. Additionally, this role is responsible for identifying and translating sales and market intelligence and all corresponding data into key insights that then result in meaningful recommendations and actions across both the direct and indirect sales channels. This includes understanding key market drivers, current sales performance, competitive pressures and performance, market share analysis, as well as monthly analysis of competitor price moves. The result is actionable Gap Plans that are created and acted upon by the Sales Teams.

Collaboration with and understanding of both Sales Excellence and Sales Operations is also part of the role. Analysis and reporting of key metrics will be done via collaboration with Sales Operations, as well as within the Sales and Market Intelligence Group based upon existing reports and identified gaps.

Indirect Management to both Sales Motion Leaders and LOB Leaders is necessary for successful implementation of the Sales Performance Matrix process across the entire sales organization.

The role will manage a team of analysts and developers which will support the above efforts. These associates will be located in Manila and India at a minimum, which will require flexible hours to manage throughout the work week.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and support a Sales Performance Matrix, driving a high-performance sales culture.
  • Develop and support tracking systems and processes for weekly Call the Ball.
  • Track competitive moves related to route to market and product lines for both direct and indirect selling motions.
  • Identify potential opportunities for sales using internal and external data (e.g. inventory deficiencies, pricing opportunities, category growth etc.)
  • Liaison with external data sources, benchmarking groups.
  • Capture, monitor and drive sales issues through to closure.
  • Pricing: List price moves, competitor comparisons

QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis on business, sales, or data analytics.
  • 10+ years of related corporate experience.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to build a network with external researchers.
  • Knowledge of the IT industry, preferably data center market.
  • Understanding of channel route to market, IT Distribution models, and Electrical Distribution Models.
  • Understanding of data center infrastructure rout to market.
  • Strong understanding of corporate business structure.

Preferred:

  • MBA
  • Experience in the field of Technology or physical critical infrastructure.
