Job Summary


The Director of Capital Expenditures oversees the planning, budgeting, and execution of all major capital expenditure projects within the organization, ensuring efficient allocation of funds and compliance with financial regulations; key duties include developing long-term capital plans, managing project budgets, evaluating investment opportunities, and collaborating with various departments to prioritize and implement capital projects. 


Here’s What You’ll Get To Do




  • Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive long-term capital expenditure plan aligned with organizational goals and strategic priorities. 

    • Analyze financial data to identify potential investment opportunities and assess their ROI. 

    • Conduct feasibility studies for major capital projects. 




  • Budget Management:

    • Prepare detailed capital budgets, including project costs, funding sources, and timelines. 

    • Monitor project expenditures against budgets and identify areas for cost optimization. 

    • Manage budget adjustments and re-allocations as needed. 




  • Project Oversight:

    • Oversee the selection, contracting, and management of external vendors and contractors for capital projects. 

    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. 

    • Ensure compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. 




  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare regular reports on capital expenditure status, including project progress, budget variances, and ROI analysis. 

    • Present capital expenditure data to senior management and stakeholders. 




  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor a team of capital project managers and analysts. 

    • Foster collaboration between different departments involved in capital projects. 




Here’s What We’re Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years experience in capital project management, including budgeting, planning, and execution preferred

  • Proven ability to analyze financial data and make sound investment decisions 

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams 

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and project management software
