Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for entering all custom patterns into the system for production


• Interpret and enter sketches to be produced by our CNC operators.


• Operate computer-aided design (CAD) system


• Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

• Auto-CAD (2005 or later) Training Certificate with 2 – 4 years of work experience


• Must possess the ability to read & interpret contract drawings and customer sketches as well as ability to create and modify drawings in CAD/CAM software


• Must have a high mathematic and logical aptitude, especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure (millimeters and inches)


• Accuracy in data entry


• Experience with Quality Control of designed products


• Strong customer service skills, organizational skills self-motivation, and the ability to multitask and work independently


• Self-starter, motivated with ability to start and finish a project on time


• Must be highly detail oriented and have the ability to solve problems with little guidance


• HS Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or above preferred

Equipment

• Edging machine, dolly, crane, glass cups, tape measure, pliers, glass cutter, and other various tools

Safety

• Hazards - Exposure to chemicals/fumes, pinch points, exposure to excessive noise, strains/sprain, laceration/puncture, particulate exposure, contusion, temperature extremes, slipping, burns, shock, loss of limbs


• Controls - Personal protective equipment, safety training, written procedures


• Safety Equipment - Back belt, safety glasses, steel toe shoes/boots with metatarsal guards, cut resistant gloves with liners, cut resistant outerwear

Work Environment

• The majority of this position is spent in an office. To avoid injuries to hands, back and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation


• There are occasional visits to the plant floor in which case safety rules related to the plant must be followed


• The production area is not climate controlled, therefore is subject to varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
