Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a detail oriented, well organized and dependable Industrial Hygiene Specialist / Asbestos Field Inspector to join our Toledo, OH team. This is a full-time opportunity to perform asbestos-related field work, including survey inspections and abatement monitoring, oversight and air sampling at a client facility in Toledo, OH. Additional tasks will also include indoor air quality (IAQ) mold investigations and remediation oversight as well as lead paint inspections and abatement oversight.
The ideal candidate will have to be self-motivated and dedicated to contributing to our team success. This full-time position requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Arcadis' performance-based evaluations provide an opportunity for candidates to advance their career within the company. Please note this position requires you to be based out of Toledo, OH.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel, work nights and weekends depending on the project work needs. Travel will often be within Ohio but may include surrounding states or elsewhere throughout the U.S. as needs and opportunities arise.
Role accountabilities:
Responsibilities will include a combination of field (approx. 90% at client site) and office (approx. 10%) related tasks with periods of extended travel.

We are seeking individuals who possesses comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations encompassing OSHA, EPA, state and local guidelines pertaining to substances like asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and others within the hiring area.
Flexibility is crucial for this position as work hours may extend beyond the typical 8-hour shift, and may include nights, weekends, and potentially longer shifts. Additionally, the ability to travel for extended periods is desired to accommodate project requirements.
Candidates must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions and for extended periods. Candidates must also be able to meet the physical demands associated with performing field work, including lifting heavy equipment, working in a standing position for extended periods of time, working alone at remote sites, pass facility respiratory fit tests, etc.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $52,000.00 - 78,800.00. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
