The Enterprise Services team within our Technology division provides technical platforms designed to accelerate delivery of applications for both the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and Treasury systems. We develop common, reusable technical platforms and deliver innovative, secure and consistent capabilities to optimize the Bank’s move to the cloud. You will be a hands-on, technical people manager responsible for leading teams of engineers who are charged with the effective and efficient delivery of cloud platforms to meet business needs. You will have budgetary responsibilities and advise business stakeholders up to and including executive leadership. You will report to the Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Services.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of technologists, engineers and consultants responsible for delivering enterprise-scale technical platforms, improving developer experience, accelerating our cloud migration and delivering business outcomes.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technology Leaders, developers, architects, partners, peers and business users in the design and delivery of technology business solutions.
Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to effectively manage conflicting priorities and diverse stakeholder needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while maintaining timelines and team cohesion.
Ensure the implementation and maintenance of robust security protocols in partnership with Information Security team and security champions.
Lead and coach skilled technology professionals through talent management, performance and career development conversations. Responsible for creating a team culture of trust, transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
Data-driven leadership with using metrics, dashboard and information radiators to make data visible, transparent and solution focused.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technology or business discipline or commensurate experience.
5+ years of Technology Leadership, including budgetary responsibility and direct people leadership.
Technical hands-on people leadership with demonstrated experience in managing and leading technologists and engineers, mentoring / coaching and building high performing teams, empowered to take ownership and drive continuous improvements and deliver results.
Depth and breadth of technology experience including cloud computing, DevOps, DevSecOps, development pipeline orchestration, and observability. Strong understanding of database, machine learning and analytics technologies and concepts (Postgres, RDS, Oracle, DataBricks, Aurora, SageMaker, Bedrock). Experience with deploying AWS services through automation (ECS/EKS/ECR containers, EC2, S3, load balancers, Lambda, storage, VPC), high-performance compute, and messaging (SNS, MQ, Kafka) technologies. Experience with monitoring solutions like Dynatrace, Grafana, and Splunk.
Extensive, in-depth experience implementing highly complex technology projects in a cross-functional matrix environment. Examples of leading through influence and successfully resolving conflicting priorities.
Outstanding communication skills, including translating technical topics and risks into business teams. Ability to personalize communication to audience from technologists to executive leadership.
Ability to obtain Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Demonstrated knowledge of and leading adoption of industry best practices in the areas of application development, agile methodologies, cloud development, cybersecurity, project/program management. Industry-related certifications in one or more of the above areas are desired.
