Job Description:

Under general direction, assists the Guest Services/Security Manager to implement security policies and programs that inspire confidence by placing the needs of customers first, in a resort environment. Serves as manager on duty when GS/Security Manager is absent, supporting a team culture that is responsive and caring about unique needs of each customer and visitor, while maintaining reliable and consistent procedures to protect people, equipment, and materials.
Tasks/Job Description:
• Maintains and assists team in daily crew activities, vessel provisioning, fuel delivery and supply logistics, and monitoring of crew amenities.
• Quickly and calmly responds to sensitive situations, requiring strong problem-solving ability.
• Responsible for new team member training and assists outside protective services contractors and in-house security patrols.
• Manages PTO, and work schedule for security team/shuttle drivers, based on seasonal customer needs.
• Ensures all departmental golf carts in fleet are in full operational status.
• Gathers information related to open investigations and accidents.
• Ensures process and procedures are followed during day-to-day team tasking.
• Serves as Assistant Facility Security Officer as required by the U.S. Coast Guard.
o TWIC required.
o Reviews and completes Declarations of Security for vessels.
o Alternate company liaison with Coast Guard, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Required Skills
Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
• Able to use 2-way radios and UHF radios.
• Able to handle multiple phone calls from separate phones.
• Is able to multi-task on multiple electronics. (CCTV, computer, radios, phone)

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.


Technical and Physical Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous security experience preferred
Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property
Must have a valid Drivers' License
Ability to work in all weather conditions
