What you will do:

The primary role of the maintenance manager is to provide leadership and direction to the maintenance function. They are responsible to the Plant Manager for the effective and efficient use of all manpower, materials, parts and other resources of Maintenance Functions for the whole facility as well as providing capacity, asset reliability and best life cycle cost to the operation.

The maintenance manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the systems, structure, and processes necessary to achieve and sustain the Maintenance Mission in all areas of the Plant. Through his or her efforts, a proactive culture that values reliability and effective life cycle asset management is achieved.           

How you will do it:


  • Leverages the organization's business goals into appropriate Maintenance, Reliability and Life Cycle Cost goals that support and contribute to the facility business results

  • Develops and controls the maintenance budget for optimizing spending to achieve the agreed-upon capacity and asset reliability.

  • Accountable to the plant manager for the optimal execution of a Maintenance budget within  2.5 and 5 Million US Dollars

  • Accountable to the plant Manager for the right stock of spare parts in the plant to guarantee a proper preventive program and quick response in case of failures. The value of the store room is within 1.6 and 9 Million US Dollars.

  • Ensures High quality execution of Maintenance, leading Preventive/predictive crews, Reliability Engineers, Tool Crib, and Facilities.

  • Implements a measurement and performance evaluation system in support of two primary objectives, optimal resource management and optimal equipment reliability. 

  • Reaches mutually beneficial agreement with all supported operating departments on required capacity specifications, ideally in terms of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

  • Facilitates good environmental, health and safety performance

  • Ensures continuous improvement in terms of Maintenance Expense and throughput through an effective use and integration of information technologies and other methodologies.

  • Identifies all applicable regulations and ensures facility conformance.

  • Enforces good safety practices within the Maintenance and Reliability function.

  • Implements techniques to identify and eliminate both workplace and behavioral hazards

  • Develops staff competencies

  • Ensures effective supervision of the workforce

  • Work identification / prioritization

  • CMMS implementation, and usage

  • Predictive maintenance information systems

  • Efficient work execution

  • Creation of effective work history

  • Planning and material acquisition

  • Scheduling and backlog management

  • Material resource management

What we look for:

Required:


  • Mechanical/electrical Engineering degree or similar

  • Electrical and PLC background

  • Change management experience

  • 7 plus years’ experience in reliability engineering related processes

  • Must have an understanding of Lean, Six Sigma and TPM.

  • Understanding of the RCM process, Asset Management & condition monitoring principles, tools and application

  • Expertise in all areas of maintenance and reliability, material management, planning and scheduling, and/or CMMS / EAM / ERP optimization is desired

  • Proficient on Popular CMMS solutions like Maximo 7.6, SAP Maintenance & Prisma.

  • Should have good oral/written communication skills and possess tact.

Preferred:


  • Lean-Six Sigma Black belt certification

  • Have good planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to keep multiple jobs in controlled motion—simultaneously.

  • Orientation and commitment to customer service.

  • Style and capability commanding respect within both maintenance and operating organizations
