We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Manager in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing departments that are responsible for Finished Goods, Consumer Receiving, Put away Replenishment and Quality Assurance Processes.
Essential Functions
Manage warehouse processes for consumer products and develop, update and maintain procedures for the department
Directly supervise various levels of team members by setting the tone for the team environment and providing individualized coaching, training and mentoring
Participate in recruiting activities, interview, hire, train, and evaluate performance for the team including performance reviews
Ensure meeting deadlines, contractual commitments, deliveries and/or support of manufacturing areas and manage/improve flow of material
Monitor and audit for compliance with established procedures and monitor workload in area to ensure incoming/outgoing material is processed in a timely manner
Manage departmental goals and metrics
Ensure training records are maintained for Associates
Develop and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and improve productivity
Perform and fill in for all tasks of the individuals reporting to this position for vacations and absences when necessary
Ensure safety is followed in department aligning with company goals
Travel to Distribution and Customer Facilities and attend various industry and retail compliance conferences/seminars as needed
Lead efforts for inventory review, trending, and obsolescence
Manage activities associated with inventory item setup, location, sizing, and replenishment to achieve efficient material handling
Monitor the utilization of locations and capacity
Manage global cycle count program and metrics
Assist global sites as needed with inventory planning and cycle counting programs
Lead teams in root cause analysis and pro-active efforts to correct and improve inventory accuracy
Monitor non-conforming inventory locations and aging inventory to prevent stale stock
Manage activities and processes related to the release of orders and work content to the warehouse, working to achieve on-time deliveries to customers
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Operations, Material Management or Industrial Engineering AND a minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or operations related environment AND/OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
Desired Qualifications
APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) Certification
Oracle experience
Warehouse Management System Rules Generation and Maintenance experience
