Eurofins MET Laboratories is currently seeking an individual that is experienced in either the National Electrical Code (NEC -NFPA 70) and/or an Engineer that is familiar with equipment compliance standards (UL/ANSI/NFPA/CSA) to fill a Field Engineer position within the Mid-Atlantic region.

Field Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

Perform Field Evaluations of electrical systems/assemblies to determine compliance with product safety standards and state and local codes.
Uses technical training to deem system compliance, adhering our NRTL label, or providing the needed correspondence for corrective action.
Able to write technical reports and provide to clients within a timely manner.
Review of colleagues Field Evaluation reports and provide to clients within company guidelines.
Communicates with customers, manufacturers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction before, during and after the electrical evaluation.
Submittal of travel expenses on a bi-monthly schedule and weekly billing reports.
After initial training period, be able to be self-sufficient and manage time and resources effectively. Ensuring client reports are provided within the company guidelines.
Other duties as deemed relevant by management.

Basic Minimum Qualifications :
A BSEE degree, or equivalent, or other technical degree and relevant work experience is required.
Experience in the product safety field is a plus either with a NRTL or a FEB.
Candidates with a Masters Electrician License will be considered.
Two year college degree-technical discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
Demonstrated experience assessing electrical equipment for compliance to US safety standards and US electrical installations.
Experience with the National Electrical Code (NEC - NFPA 70).
Able to sit or stand for long periods of time
Able to lift up to 30 pounds
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and requires a flexible 8 hour schedule with overtime as needed. The position will be in the West Coast Region - California/Nevada/Oregon/Washington/Colorado
