Eurofins Environmental Testing New England is searching for a Environmental Preparation Technician in North Kingston, RI.

Environmental Preparation Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Extraction of soil samples by sonication, microwave, and soxhlet
• Extraction of waters by separatory funnel
• Preparation of SPLP/TCLP samples
• Concentration of extracts using Turbo Vap
• Acid/copper cleanup for Pest/PCB extracts
• Entering information into LIMS, scanning batch sheets
• General cleanup of work area, washing and putting away dishes
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures
• Adhere to Health and Safety Guidelines
• Adhere to Employee Handbook

The ideal candidate would possess
:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications
:

• BS in Chemistry or Environmental Science or related field is preferred, or equivalent directly related experience (two years related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in a related major)
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm- 11 pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of North Kingston, RI are encouraged to apply.
