Job Description:

Ledgent Accounting & Finance has partnered with a manufacturing company based in Torrance and is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team! Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in preparing budgets and forecasts for multi-site organizations. We're seeking someone with a strong understanding of tax laws and corporate tax. A valid passport is required as there will be some travel to the UK (a few times per year).



Qualifications:



  • Preparation of corporate tax computations or supporting information and calculations

  • Preparation and presentation of management accounts to management

  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts for multi-site organizations

  • Analysis and analytical review of financial information

  • Experience of WIP/accounting for stock in a manufacturing environment

  • Valid Passport

  • Experience with SAP preferred




Responsibilities:



*Legal and regulatory compliance of the financial management system,
*Provision and presentation of reports and other financial data to the Board, Finance Director and other stakeholders,
*Lead point of contact for all financial reporting,
*Liaison with external auditors,
*Accounting for stock and work in progress (WIP),
*Preparation of monthly and yearend financial reports in accordance with group timetables and procedures,
*Preparation and submission of data to support annual federal and state corporate tax submissions,
*Preparation and submission of data to support sales tax submissions,
*Preparation of annual budgets and forecast updates in accordance with group timetables,
*Calculation of corporate and deferred tax provisions for inclusion in the financial statement,
*Support of any commercial proposals for the Company with costing and financial data,
*Review and approval of twice-monthly payroll calculations and annual returns/reconciliations,
*Management of transactional processing team,
*Management of credit risk for the Company including liaison with credit control on collection of overdue debt, daily review of bank balances/reconciliations and management of intercompany balances,
*To actively pursue a policy of continuous improvement within the department,
*To undertake various ad-hoc projects as required, to support the changing requirements of the business,
*To adhere to all Company rules and regulations,
*To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, and
*To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.
