Position Overview
To perform visual and dimensional inspections and record all required data. Interpret results of visual and dimensional inspections and recommend appropriate action in accordance with referenced repair specifications, accepted industry and shop practices. Document and test the required inspection of components. Perform required process control actions to ensure equipment and materials meet minimum requirements prior to inspections.
Relocation will not be offered for this role.
Job Responsibilities
Operates mechanical production machines to manufacture parts and semi-products according to agreed engineering specifications, quality requirements and manufacturing time.
Sets up and operates with a non-specified or broad production machine environment.
Organizes and uses machine related tools, and equipment relevant in production.
Plans and lays out work, prepares components or semi-products and monitors related hand-stock.
Processes the components or semi-products/products according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
May perform basic machine-related CNC / SPS-programming, if required. * Performs basic or specifically defined maintenance operations.
Associate with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues.
May operate various types of mechanical production equipment/technology.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Auto body repair or grinding with power tools experience
1 year of experience into manufacturing field.
Experience with fiberglass & resin repair.
Ability to work in protective suit, mask, respirator, and gloves.
Demonstrate the ability to count and record material data with a high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrate proficiency in SAP and other MS Office computer tools
Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis
Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day
Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days
