Job Description:

A premier software, research, and consulting firm in the field of industrial-organizational psychology, PDRI designs, develops and implements human resource solutions that incorporate the most recent advances in the behavioral sciences and adhere to the highest principles of professional practice.

PDRI is seeking a talented, motivated Software Tester to join our IT Services department. The Software Tester will be responsible for validating requirements are met, ensuring defect-free software, facilitating acceptance testing, and setting up automated regression tests for multiple exciting PDRI development projects.

The Software Tester will work closely with the development team to identify and remedy system and software defects. This role requires a professional with a keen eye for details who can work resourcefully and efficiently to assure quality of programs, software and systems.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure quality in all custom developed software.
  • Define and prioritize all aspects of testing throughout the development cycle.
  • Create, review and prioritize test plans based on product specifications, developer releases and organizational feedback.
  • Ensure integrity, validity, and testability of all product specifications.
  • Write and execute test plans as well as document test plan results.
  • Configure automated regression tests.
  • Identify defects and problems as assigned.
  • Must be able to work in a team and individually, demonstrate effective verbal and written communication, learn quickly, solve problems and be professional.
  • Work with various business units to ensure testing matches our users’ needs.
  • Learn and apply new technologies on a regular basis

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance
  • 3-5 years of experience writing and executing test plans
  • 3-5 years of experience documenting test results, filling out defect reports, and working with development teams to resolve defects

Preferred:

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with test automation; ideally Selenium Web Driver
  • Experience with accessibility testing and standards (WCAG, Section 508)
  • Experience leading user acceptance testing
  • Experience writing unit tests
