SPS Commerce has an exciting opportunity as a Sr. Project Manager within our Finance Leadership Team! This is a strategic role at the heart of key financial and operational initiatives, serving as a trusted partner to the CFO. Position Summary:

The Sr. Project Manager, Finance is a high-impact, strategic partner responsible for streamlining operational effectives, aligning cross-functional initiatives, and driving key financial and operational priorities. They will plan, lead and manage projects to improve capacity and efficiency across people, process, and technology. Responsibilities included involvement in Finance Operating plans, company-wide strategic initiatives, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and SPS Foundation projects and activities. This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused individual who excels in both strategy and execution, acting as the CFO’s right-hand in managing workflows, facilitating decision-making, and enhancing communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with CFO and Finance Leadership Team to develop and drive strategic financial initiatives aligned with company goals.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day project tasks to lead assigned groups of stakeholders through project stages up through completion, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved. This involves defining project scope, identifying resource requirements, creating project plans, and tracking progress.
  • Produce and manage executive dashboards to keep the CFO informed of status on projects and initiatives.
  • In partnership with the General Counsel, serve as program lead and manage ESG initiatives, collaborating with legal, corporate services, finance, human resources, communications and technology.
  • Support the SPS Foundation including planning and facilitation of internal executive committee and board meetings. Draft presentations, reports and other communications.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between Finance and other teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Operations, Human Resources and Legal.
  • Act as information broker by directing communication to/from team.
  • Advocate for positive change and improvement within the organization by identifying and communicating the compelling needs for change or improvement.

Location:

This role is a hybrid position, based out of our headquarters in Minneapolis. Our team #SucceedsTogether through collaboration in-office with flexibility to work remotely.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in enterprise-wide change management and an understanding of related communications planning to support projects and initiatives
  • Strong problem solving & analytic ability
  • Quality-focused; detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent organizational skills and written/oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while taking initiative and setting priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERPs, systems and/or finance technology platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve goals without direct authority over personnel
