Overview We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to provide software testing management services to the systems owned by the Department of Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service. As our Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will report to a Manager and aide in the resolution of problems; perform system tests; assist users; and help manage relationships with business partners.
Responsibilities
Lead test strategy, test estimation and planning discussions
Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts (and occasionally manual tests) for requirement validation, integration, regression, performance and usability testing.
Design and implement core/framework functionality within the automated testing suite that is reusable and scalable across development teams
Provide product specific training and mentoring to other testers
Perform code reviews of automated test scripts and provide timely feedback.
Become proficient in the business functionality within the Fiscal Accounting web application.
Develop quality assurance standards and track quality assurance activities
Draft test artifacts, including Test Plans, Business Test Scenarios and Requirements Traceability Reports in JIRA Xray
Create reusable test data for automation scripts
Create and debug SQL scripts to be used for test validation
Perform formal (automated and manual regression) and informal (exploratory) testing of the Fiscal Accounting application
Document test results and assist with defect management
Assist with developing technical artifacts (such as Use Cases and User Interface Specifications) and contribute to technical discussions
Support testing of application and environmental upgrades as well as resolution of production issues
Perform 508 compliance testing
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or commensurate experience
5-7 years relevant experience, including each of the following;
Java application development using Spring framework
Creating automation tests using Java/Selenium/Selenium WebDriver
Familiarity with Junit/TestNG, Maven, and Bamboo (or similar CI platform)
Familiarity with a version control system such as BitBucket/Git
Creating test automation frameworks using modern test approaches such as Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
Creating SQL scripts
Preferred but not required:
Experience with a Test Management system such as JIRA Xray.
Experience with an Issue/Story tracking system such as JIRA.
Creating Behavior Driven tests using Cucumber or JBehave
Experience with performance testing tools such as Gatling
Experience with accessibility testing tools such as JAWS
Experience working on an Agile team.
Experience working in a Cloud environment (such as AWS).

Salary: $102,300 - $133,000
