Location: Falls Church, Virginia
This is a hybrid position with approximately two days a week in the Falls Church, VA office.
Job Description
Individual will be expected to support the Accounting Department for a growing government contracting company. Great attention to detail a must! Position reports directly to the Controller.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Enter all vendor invoices and issue ACH/checks
* Perform credit card reconciliations monthly
* Process bi-weekly payroll as needed
* Process all associated payroll entries as needed
* Monitor A/P bank account
* Perform general A/P administration
* Assist with cash flow analysis
* Prepare and enter month end closing journal entries
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts
* Maintain state registrations for required taxes; withholding, business, etc.
* File Personal Property and BPOL forms as required
* Provide audit assistance
* Assist in maintenance of fixed assets register
* Reconcile and post weekly timecards as needed
* Record cash receipts as needed
* Maintain accurate file storage
* Ensure all entries are in accordance with GAAP and FAR
* Full scale accounting for related party property management, less than 30 transactions per month
* Financial statement preparation for related party property management
* Miscellaneous property management as needed
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar preferred
* 3+ years in related work or industry related experience
* Experience with accounting software; JAMIS experience is a plus
* Experience with ADP payroll processing a plus

* General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature.
