A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Develops, integrates and provides account or brand-specific forecasts for internal sales and operations planning which includes replenishment data, point-of sale data, sales promotion information, marketing plans, manufacturing capacity, and new distribution/product deletions.

  • Assists in the improvement of demand forecasting accuracy for internal and external customers including determining the appropriate algorithm for statistical forecasts.

  • Maintains and manages product history, accurate forecasting, and promotional demand.

  • Analyzes internal demand stream information, and categorizes according to demand patterns.

  • Aligns sales/marketing intelligence for each operating unit for use in forecast systems, working with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, research and development, and related forecasting and planning groups.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Required

  • 0 year's of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Supply Chain background/experience preferred, Knowledge of finance, sales, marketing, regulatory, R& D and other supply chain functions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands.

  • Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills

  • Data gathering and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel , Power BI and PowerPoint

  • Familiar with forecasting/demand planning systems and tools

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of financial and operational impacts

  • Experience b uilding relationships with key internal and external customers based on trust and confidence

  • Ability to report/communicate technical data to a non-technical audience

  • Ability to communicate, partner with, and influence global team members

  • Collaborative work style; customer-focused

  • Medical Device or other regulated industry experience.

  • Experience with large global manufacturer/distributor operations in a matrix organization.

  • Institute of Business Forecasting and/or APICS certification

  • Experience applying DMAIC or lean sigma methodologies

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$57,600.00 - $86,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others)
