Elite is seeking a part-time IT Support Tech (20-25 hours per week) to support our corporate office and medical clinics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of our organization while working with a passionate and dedicated team.
Roles and Responsibilities
Hardware and Software Management
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, printers, peripherals, and software applications.Perform system updates, software installations, and patch management to ensure optimal performance and security.
User Support and Training
Provide technical support to users via phone, email, teams, remote desktop, or in-person assistance.Conduct training sessions and create user guides to help staff effectively use IT systems and applications.Educate users on IT security best practices to safeguard company data.
User Account and Access Administration
Create, modify, and manage user accounts, work email addresses, and access levels based on job roles.Ensure secure access to systems and applications by implementing appropriate permissions and monitoring usage.
Network Management and Security
Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and antivirus tools.Troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
Asset Management
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.Oversee the procurement, deployment, and decommissioning of IT equipment.Ensure asset lifecycle management aligns with company policies and budgetary constraints.
Policy, Procedure, and Security Enforcement
Develop, document, and enforce IT policies and procedures.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.Monitor systems for unauthorized access and respond to security incidents promptly.
Vendor Management
Liaise with external vendors to procure IT hardware, software, and services.Monitor vendor performance and ensure contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.Coordinate with vendors for system upgrades, repairs, and technical support.
IT Project Participation
Assist in planning and implementing IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, clinic launches, and new software rollouts.Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to ensure smooth project execution.Provide post-implementation support and feedback for continuous improvement.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain detailed records of IT support activities, asset inventory, and system configurations.Prepare reports on system performance, support requests, and resolved issues.Document lessons learned and solutions to recurring problems for future reference.
Continuous Improvement
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.Recommend improvements to IT systems and processes to enhance efficiency and security.Participate in ongoing training to expand technical expertise and certifications.
