Our Summer Associate Program provides our summer associates with a well-rounded view of our firm and helps students bridge the gap between academia and practice. The program is designed to be the first step in associate development and lays the groundwork for a prosperous and rewarding career with our firm.


We believe the best way to learn is through first-hand experience and exposure to real legal work and client interaction. Summer associates work on substantive projects for existing clients and will have the opportunity to participate in conference calls, depositions, and client interaction. In addition, summer associates will engage in pro bono and community service projects and participate in a variety of social activities.


Summer associates are assigned to a team of mentors with a focus on work performance, practice group guidance, and social integration. We provide weekly professional development workshops and training opportunities to help you develop your legal and professional skills to promote your continuous learning and growth.


We want you to get to know our people and our culture - our most important assets. We think building relationships with our firm's attorneys, team members and each other is an integral part of your career development. You will do this as a summer associate at Locke Lord.


We are accepting applications from November 1, 2024 - January 31, 2025, and will review them on a rolling basis. Our current weekly salary for summer associates is $4,327, and the program is 9 weeks in duration.
