JOB SUMMARY: Facilitates resident planned and directed activities that encompass the spectrum of wellness, including physical, emotional, spiritual, nutritional, social, vocational, intellectual and community activities. Oversee the safe operation of the company vehicles. Manage the transportation and Resident Lifestyle staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
Supervises the staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary administration, performance appraisal, managing policies and procedures to ensure achievement of the department’s goals.
Responsible for the strategic planning and operations of the department by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.
Develop, write and publish the community’s monthly calendar and newsletter (if applicable).
Manage all community transportation needs, schedules and activities (includes company vehicle maintenance).
Manage community events and activities (budget preparation, planning, location, billing residents, etc). These include outings, tours and excursions outside of the community’s premises.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, gerontology, or related field. Prefer (2 years) experience with senior event planning.
