What you will do
Responsible for the assurance of product quality and quality operating system conformance per the customer and corporate quality requirements.
Directs Plant Quality Assurance efforts with emphasis on identification and solution of process, material or labor problems that could compromise customer and internal quality commitments.
How you will do it
Conduct robust problem solving (8D/error proofing, containment actions, root cause analysis, corrective action plan – implementation and verification)
Drive site quality continuous improvement actions throughout the value chain using KPI's.
Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the quality system based on TS/IATF-16949 & Customer Specific Requirements.
Interface with customers and supplier both OEM and aftermarket to resolve quality issues/concerns.
Reports on Quality at all Plant Management reviews.
Drives Cost of Quality improvements.
Project management in areas involving Quality
What we look for
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical field.
7+ years of QA management experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive highly preferred.
5+ yrs. in a Management or Supervision position of Quality
TS/IATF-16949 experience required
Preferred
Has experience with managing launches, has led transformation projects from poor performance to meeting customer expectations, strengthened the bench strength of the organization
Has good understanding of Customer specific requirements including OEM audits, problem resolution, change management, OEM portals/ scorecards and ways of working expectations
Facilitate continuous improvement and lean manufacturing using formal quality systems methodology and tools.
Development and implementation of quality systems and standards (FMEA’s, PPAP, control Plans, DVP&R’s, APQP)

Middletown, Delaware is home to a distribution center that charges, packages and ships the batteries used in cars, boats, and heavy-duty trucks. We opened in 2011 and now employ more than 350 people and operate six days per week. Our employees are actively involved in the community and support a variety of local organizations, including the Middletown/Odessa/Townsend Senior Center and local fire departments.
