ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a seasoned Power BI expert with comprehensive expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Power BI, and their integration with Azure Data Lake using Databricks and Lakehouse architecture. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern cloud-based data platforms, with proven success in transforming and visualizing large datasets to provide actionable insights for business decisions across the Subaru of America organization.

This role involves leading a team to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end business intelligence solutions that unify data from disparate systems into clear, meaningful visualizations. You will ensure seamless access to data and create a platform that enhances decision-making for our stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design and development of Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
  • Integrate and leverage the Microsoft Fabric platform for big data solutions, combining Azure Data Lake with Lakehouse architecture.
  • Implement scalable solutions for data visualization and advanced analytics, using the latest features of Power BI.
  • Develop and optimize Power BI models with a focus on query performance and efficient data refresh.
  • Establish and manage governance protocols for BI tools and data analytics platforms.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align BI solutions with strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Support the implementation of a robust data governance framework that ensures data quality and consistency.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Data Science, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Data Visualization teams to gather and define data requirements.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and optimize performance, ensuring data pipelines function smoothly.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Technical expertise with Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric Capacity (Above F64) for cloud-based data visualization and analytics.
  • Strong experience using Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Lakehouse architecture for integrating and managing large data sets in Power BI.
  • Deep knowledge of Power BI Service, including Premium capacity, Row Level Security, and Power BI administration.
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and SQL, with experience building efficient data models and performing complex queries.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence trends and the latest cloud-based technologies, including predictive analytics and IoT.
  • Strong business acumen with experience across functional areas such as Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and practices to support a unified analytics strategy.

Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)
  • Travel Required: 25%

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $99,700.00 - $140,000.00/year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
