Job Description:

Position Summary

Successfully lead the general merchandise Auctions and related personnel providing excellent customer service under the guidance of the Auction Manager and in the manager's absence assume related responsibilities. Maximize sales revenue and net gain while minimizing Donated Goods waste.

Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)

Assists the Auction Manager in the performance of their duties.

2. Adheres to all Auction schedules.

3. Controls the quantity and quality of merchandise selected for the auctions.

4. Ensures that merchandise is current and the Auction is safe for customers and associates.

5. Assists in the hiring, training, development and supervision of all department associates.

6. Orders Auction supplies in a timely and cost effective manner.

7. Ensures that all Auction receipts are correct and deposited in a timely manner.

8. Provides regular communication to the Auction Manager regarding concerns and expectations related to the department.

9. Helps prepare payroll and personnel scheduling.

10. Coordinates Auction advertising and promotions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The associate in this position has supervisory responsibility for designated associates in their department.

Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance

• High School Diploma or GED required.


• 1 Year experience in a leadership role required.


• No professional certifications are required for this position.


• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.


• Associates in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check and sex offender check.


• Basic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office software and basic typing skills, required.
