C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Construction Surveyor position for our local operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of survey computations, types of surveys and field operations in construction site / heavy civil layout
Supervises all survey crew members performing construction stakeout, and surveys including topographic, boundary, construction and utility
Maintain quality of all measurements
Record accurate field data collected and calculations made and review for correctness
Must be able to prepare your own 3D models using Carlson Software for quantity, survey and machine control applications, GPS modeling and field GPS equipment
Assist operations with setup, usage, and maintenance of instrument use in their operations
Schedule and order survey materials and equipment to ensure project timelines are meet
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in heavy civil construction surveying and FDOT stake out experience required
Land Surveyor License preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
General knowledge and understanding of ALTA standards
Proficient use of Trimble software, instruments, controllers, GPS rovers, CADD software and machine control
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must work well with all levels within the organization
Able to work days, nights or weekends as needed
Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's license
