ABOUT THE POSITION
The County of Riverside's Diagnostic Imaging Department at Riverside University Health System's Medical Center seeks Radiologic Technologists to join our team. This Job Posting will serve to fill regular full-time and per-diem vacancies. Applicants may specify their shift preferences in the application.
New Grads within one month of program completion are welcome to apply. New Grad offers will be contingent upon successful receipt of licensure.

Regular Full-time Rates:
$32.12 - 48.76 Hourly (Commensurate with experience)
Per Diem Rates:
$48.76
Schedule for Regular Positions: 4/10 (As department coverage permits) - Rotating every other weekend, Holidays, and on-call required.
Schedule for Per-Diem Positions: 10-hour shifts - Minimum of 4 shifts per month required (2 weekdays and 2 weekend days)

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Provides diagnostic services to patients to produce images; prepares, positions and transfers patients; Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
• Operates equipment as directed; provides patient protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
• Assists physicians in the administering of contrast media; assures the technical quality and the proper functioning of equipment within designated areas.
• Maintains adequate records; maintains orderliness and cleanliness of all work areas; secures and returns supplies.
• Instructs students and ancillary personnel; assists in the use of a variety of equipment or procedures.
• Assists in the development of technical factors; records patient information;.
• Maintains an effective work relationship with patients, visitors, departmental and hospital staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: None required.
License/Certificate: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of California. Possession of a valid fluoroscopy permit as issued by the California State Department of Health Services. Possession of valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates issued by the American Heart Association.

Pre-Employment

DEFERRED COMPENSATION: Voluntary employee contribution with a choice between two 457 deferred compensation plan options.
VACATION ACCRUAL (Bi-Weekly Accrual):
0< 3 year = 80 Hours (10 Days)
4< 9 years = 120 Hours (15 Days)
10 or more years = 160 Hours (20 Days)
Maximum Vacation leave accumulation is 480 hours.
SICK LEAVE: Four (4) hours Sick Leave accrual per pay period with unlimited accrual.
HOLIDAYS: Normally 12 paid holidays per year.
BEREAVEMENT LEAVE: Allowed 5 days (3 days are County paid; 2 additional days can be taken from accrued Sick Leave balance).
BASIC LIFE INSURANCE: Equal to one times annual base salary not to exceed $50,000 of term life coverage. Premiums are paid by the County. Additional Supplemental Life plan is available for employee purchase.
DISABILITY: Short-term Disability benefit pays up to a maximum of $461.54 weekly, payable up to a maximum of 52 weeks.
POST RETIREMENT MEDICAL CONTRIBUTION: A monthly contribution is made by the County towards retiree health insurance offered through the County as governed by the applicable SEIU Memorandum of Understanding.
