Our client is hiring a skilled and experienced SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a professional with full proficiency in T-SQL and a strong background in database development, including creating stored procedures, SSIS ETL packages, and comprehensive documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new SSIS/SSRS packages to meet business needs and ensuring optimal performance of existing production systems. Responsibilities:
Create and maintain stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, T-SQL, indexes, and cursors, focusing on performance tuning and SQL profiler.
Develop SSIS/SSRS packages to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Conduct unit tests and develop automated tests for regression and unit testing.
Collaborate with product owners and SMEs to scope opportunities, identify constraints, and help mitigate risks.
Participate in the ongoing development and support of the existing production system, both technically and functionally.
Provide technical mentoring to team members as needed and actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new Internet tools and applications for assigned responsibilities.
Work independently, with the ability to receive a request from the business and translate that into a query/ad hoc report independently.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience with extensive knowledge of Agile process development in .Net, MVS, and SQL.
Advanced proficiency in SQL database including SSIS, with the ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Experience in developing new SSIS/SSRS packages and optimizing existing ones.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document code and participate in project development methodology.
7 years of SQL development experience preferred, with a focus on stored procedures, SSIS ETL packages, and ETL development.
Prior experience with Medicaid/Medicare is preferred but not required.
Experience with System Analysis, SoftwareAG webMethods, InRules, SSRS, MS Team Foundation Server, and .Net is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
