JOB OVERVIEW:
The Electrician is a valued member of our Construction and Trades (C&T) department, which is responsible for the skilled maintenance, electrical and construction work within our facilities. As the Electrician, you will perform the typical duties of an electrician in our food processing plants. You will also grow your knowledge and skills by working with the Electrical team to develop and improve our electrical procedures, goals, improvement opportunities, measures, and training.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance
Work on, trouble shoot, repair, and install up to 480V AC circuits
Install conduit, electrical panels, and related equipment
Perform minor electrical system repairs, installations, and modifications
Troubleshoot and repair electric motor and motor controls
Assist maintenance mechanics and quality control in trouble shooting, repairs and maintenance of metal detectors and related equipment
Perform multimeter test for voltage, current, and resistance
Conduct job duties in an environmentally responsible manner
Repair and/or replace wiring equipment & fixtures
Perform tasks from ladder, scaffolds, scissor lifts, man baskets, articulating lifts, etc.
Perform any other duties as assigned
JOB EXPERIENCE :
At least 5 years of experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Report potentially unsafe conditions
Use equipment and materials properly
Able to read and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Basic computer skills, i.e. email, simple spreadsheets
Able to work effectively within a team
Fluent in English
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
