Maintain company's equity data using Morgan Stanley Shareworks including but not limited to loading and reconciling new awards, terminations, accelerations/amendments, individual tax rates, equity releases and stock option exercises.
Work with HR to reconcile new hire grants and terminations to payroll records and maintain and reconcile the employee database.
Monitor all cash receipts related to equity transactions (stock option exercises, long share sales, sell to cover transactions), reconcile cash receipts to Shareworks, wire funds as needed to other intercompany locations and create necessary journal entries.
Reconcile the Employee Option Receivable account on a monthly basis, working closely with payroll to confirm all equity related transactions are processed on a timely basis.
Monitor, coordinate and respond to inquiries received in the Stock Administration e-mail account.
Administer and support all activities related to the ESPP program (two offerings per year) within Shareworks including the open enrollment, purchase, translation of funds from foreign locations, intercompany invoicing and associated journal entries.
Maintain the Compliance Calendar working with worldwide locations to facilitate the filing of all required documentation and reports.
Maintain Blackouts in the Morgan Stanley Shareworks system.
Support accounting for stock based compensation by running reports and/or valuations during month end close.
Assist in the collection of data and preparation of intercompany allocations associated with equity expense to our international locations.
Assist Director of Finance in the annual preparation of Proxy and CD&A.
Lead efforts to automate routine work streams and manual processes to enable efficient, accurate and timely processing of equity award data.
Coordinate with Broker and payroll to ensure proper withholding of tax from equity proceeds.
Provide data needed for stock impacts of W-2 and 1099-R reporting related to stock compensation.
Work closely with the company's internal and external Legal counsel, in addition to Finance, Payroll/Accounting, HR and other teams, as necessary.
Evaluate and implement equity solutions as required for business needs and scalability.
Perform other duties and ad hoc projects and reporting as requested.
Education & Experience
3+ years of relevant work experience in public companies.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related work experience
Experience working with Morgan Stanley Shareworks preferred
