Regional Nurse Consultant - (RN)

Dillwyn, Blackstone, Brookneal Facilities

American HealthCare, the management company for Virginia's 16 Heritage Hall Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation Centers, would like to announce an opening for a Full-Time Regional Nurse Consultant.

The Regional Nurse Consultant is responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of policies and procedures directly affecting resident care. They are responsible for implementing new programs that increase the quality of life within the facilities. They assist the Vice President of Clinical Services and Heritage-Hall Administrators as needed to correct deficiencies and implement new programs. The Regional Nurse Consultant also represents the company in long term care issues to the community and other organizations.

This position requires travel within the state of Virginia. Due to the travel overtime hours may be required. The Regional Nurse Consultant works under minimal supervision.

RN Nurse Consultant (Regional) Qualifications

Required

• Must have RN license / degree from an accredited college or have graduated from an accredited RN program
• Must have an active RN license in the state of Virginia
• Experience in long-term care

Preferred

• Experience in interpretation and implementation of federal and state regulations as related to long-term care
• Experience in utilization review and quality assurance
