Job Title: Associate General Counsel - Labor & Employment
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate General Counsel to join our legal team at Artera. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both private practice and in-house counsel roles, with specific expertise in employment law. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the company's legal strategy and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment law matters, including but not limited to employee relations, compliance, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, and benefits.
Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, policies, and employment agreements.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support the company's operations and business objectives.
Collaborate with HR and management to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with employment law and regulations.
Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with employment practices and company policies.
Represent the company in administrative hearings, mediations, and negotiations as necessary.
Assist in the development of training programs for employees on legal compliance and best practices.
Work closely with external counsel when necessary to handle complex legal matters.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 5-8 combined years of experience working as a lawyer in a law firm and as in-house counsel.
Strong knowledge and experience in employment law, including relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
