The Material Handler supports efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring the smooth transfer of materials and finished products throughout the production process. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and familiarity with handling equipment to maintain continuous workflow and support production goals.
Responsibilities:
Product Transfer: Remove finished products from machines and stage them for the next steps in the process.
Inventory Tracking: Scan tickets on skids to accurately document production and maintain real-time inventory records.
Job Monitoring: Keep track of run times or job changes to prepare for upcoming production needs.
Skid Movement: Transport skids and boxes efficiently within the facility to support production flow.
Skid Wrapping: Operate skid wrapper, including replacing rolls of plastic wrap, to secure products for storage or shipping.
Supply Maintenance: Ensure each operator has the necessary materials to keep machines running without interruption.
Staging for Warehouse: Place in-process stock in designated staging areas for warehouse pickup, maintaining organization and efficiency.
Cleaning & Organization: Perform basic cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned to support production, maintain safety standards, and contribute to overall operational success.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management and basic scanning tools.
Strong organizational skills with attention to production flow and timelines.
Ability to operate skid wrappers and other handling equipment safely and efficiently.
