Job Role Summary




The Clinical Talent Acquisition Consultant participates and conducts a full life-cycle recruitment process for various positions within Eskenazi Health, i.e., Respiratory Care Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Nurses and other healthcare positions. This position plans, implements and coordinates all respective recruitment activities including, but not limited to: development of all recruitment literature, development and placement of recruitment classified and journal ads within area of representation and ensures that Eskenazi Health is represented to recruit professionals at campus recruitment programs, professional conventions and career events.




Essential Functions and Responsibilities






  • Participates and conducts a full life-cycle recruitment process for various positions within behavioral and mental health and strategically deploys talent resources to fulfill customer talent needs across all lines of business, including; recruitment of high skilled key and critical roles, high volume and seasonal recruiting

  • Plans, implements and coordinates all respective recruitment activities including, but not limited to: development of all recruitment literature, development and placement of recruitment classified and journal ads within area of representation and ensures that Eskenazi Health is represented to recruit professionals at campus recruitment programs, professional conventions and career events

  • Works with departments and units to develop and leverage strategic partnerships with school, community organizations, colleges and universities, to meet talent needs

  • Refers qualified applicants for unit or department interview; consults with and advises in regard to selections

  • Manages all recruitment and hiring activity (both internal and external) through SuccessFactors, the online applicant tracking system, including, but not limited to, review of applications, correspondence with applicants as needed, referrals to hiring managers, and completing the hiring process

  • Obtains and organizes current marketplace, salary, benefits and recruitment information as requested

  • Prepares summary status reports of recruitment/retention activities in directed manner/time frames and participates in the development, tracking and communication of their own key talent management metrics to drive continuous improvement

  • Communicates/corresponds with prospective applicants seeking information regarding employment opportunities and is responsible for thorough follow-up on each inquiry

  • Interviews and evaluates applicants and maintains knowledge of needs of each department (skills, education, cultural and personality fit) when referring applicants for consideration and conducting interviews

  • Completes background checks, i.e., criminal history, OIG, GSA and references as appropriate and validates license and/or degree of new employees as necessary, and assists with maintaining listing of current licenses/certifications as required by regulatory bodies

  • Reviews job descriptions, makes recommendations for changes to Manager of Talent Acquisition based on regulatory standards and current staff responsibilities; collaborates with Manager of Compensation and Manager of Talent Acquisition to determine appropriate compensation ranges and FLSA status

  • Collaborates with Manager of Compensation on an as needed basis to determine salary/pay for employment offers

  • Assists with maintaining listing of current licenses/certifications as required by regulatory bodies

  • Confers with employees regarding transfer possibilities and counsels appropriately concerning job development

  • Effectively recognizes needs of clients (both internal and external) in order to assist with problem-solving in the workforce, including trouble-shooting social, academic, behavioral and developmental issues; effectively assists clients with career and personal growth professionally

  • Responsible for coordinating the offer of employment, presenting offer to candidate, conferring with directors/department mangers regarding acceptances/rejections and the scheduling of employment physicals with the Occupational Health Clinic

  • Serves as the ambassador for recommendations and decisions to our Web2.0 internet recruitment technologies





Job Requirements






  • Bachelor's degree in social science, humanities, business or related degree plus at least two years of experience

  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in recruiting within a behavioral and/or mental healthcare facility required in lieu of education requirements

  • Expertise in attracting and retaining top mental healthcare talent is required

  • Working knowledge of healthcare services (specifically within mental and behavioral health organizations), understanding employment laws, state regulations, and behavioral health education and licensure requirements is highly preferred

  • LCSW, LCAC or a related license is strongly preferred





Knowledge, Skills & Abilities






  • High-level skills in verbal and written communication and interviewing techniques

  • Use of standard office equipment required; working knowledge of word processing, database management and spreadsheets highly desirable

  • Must be knowledgeable of health profession licensure and certification requirements, labor laws, corporate and departmental policies/procedures and personnel procedures

  • Ability to prioritize work and devise own work patterns/methods, be flexible to changing priorities, exercise good judgment, work effectively with students/health care professionals and wide variety of others

  • Participates in long range planning for recruitment purposes, work with minimal supervision, be detail-oriented; maintain confidentiality of information, display mature problem solving skills

  • Ability to use age-appropriate communication skills

  • Ability to evaluate and advise others based on socioeconomic backgrounds, social and academic challenges and needs

  • Ability to recognize needs of varying clients and respond appropriately during interactions

  • Ability to gain competency with HRIS (SAP), OnBase and other software such as performance management systems

  • Leadership skills

  • Expertise in internet recruitment, including sourcing products and applicant tracking systems

  • Expertise in sourcing for passive candidates using nontraditional tools

  • Experience in healthcare recruiting

  • History of collaboration in making hiring decisions
