Our client, a growing organization in Portland, is seeking someone that can handle the day to day management and development of their Accounts Payable Team. If you have 2+ years of experience with managing and AP team of at least 3 people, a background in full cycle Accounts Payable and seeking a fantastic opportunity, look no further!

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 4 union employees and 1 part-time contractor in the accounts payable department.
Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving vendor inquiries and payment-related issues.
Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
Process outgoing payments using SAP software.
Prepare journal entries for accounts payable accruals and manage related balance sheet account reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of both internal and external financial reports, data requests, and regulatory filings.
Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Manage 1099 reporting requirements.
Review and approve vendor setups to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Oversee month-end accruals and ensure timely processing.
Approve wire transfers and ensure adherence to company policies.
Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and processes for the accounts payable function.
