Job Title: JTE Program Assistant - King

Salary Range: $22.00-26.00

Job Summary

Responsible for entering and maintaining student data related to Goodwill's Resources to Initiate Successful Employment (RISE) contract in both Job Training and Education (JTE) student database as well as Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) database. Communicates with appropriate staff to ensure that student data collection is done in accordance with contract requirements. Generates reports on RISE student data and ensures data integrity across both data systems.

Essential Functions:

Enter data, run reports and look up student information in JTE's database (ETO), DSHS's database, and Excel spreadsheets.

Submit data from ETO to DSHS to determine student eligibility and enter DSHS's response into ETO.

Use data from ETO to maintain accurate records on student's current class enrollment status, support service receipt, and employment.

Ongoing outreach to recruit students into Employment & Training programs

Communicate with Case Managers (and other JTE staff as needed) to ensure that their student data collection and entry is being done in accordance with RISE contract requirements.

Serve as a liason with DSHS on the RISE contract and maintain a good working relationship with DSHS RISE/BFET staff.

Together with Program Supervisor, ensure that RISE-related forms and data entry processes meet the needs of the JTE staff and stakeholders.

Participate in RISE-related meetings internally and with DSHS/ other RISE providers

Maintain strict confidentiality of student records.

Oversee that all deadlines are being met as outlined in RISE contract.

Work closely with RISE Case Manager and Employment Specialist to ensure proper data entry and contractual agreements are being met.

Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education: High School diploma or GED. Computer Operation, Business Information Technology, or Human Services college coursework a plus.

Experience: Minium 1 year of data entry or data/electronic records management experience required. Prior experience with a nonprofit client or student database,and/or case management preferred.

Specific Skills/Knowledge/Licenses: Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and databases. Typing speed of at least 40wpm required, with ability to key with 99% or better overall accuracy rate.

Essential Physical Abilities:

Able to safely lift/push/pull up to 10 lbs., grasp, handle, finger and manipulate items; perform repetitive fine motor functions with fingers, wrists and arms. Able to traverse a wide variety of physical environments without assistance including uneven surfaces and stairs. Able to communicate with others effectively, verbally and in writing; including those who have limited English skills, large groups and small groups and individuals. Able to use standard office equipment without assistance. Maintain reliable attendance.
