We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join the Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for procurement operations related to materials, supplies, and services. You will be based in Santa Monica, CA or Gaithersburg, MD and will report to the Senior Director, Sourcing and Procurement.
Accountabilities:
Manage the new vendor onboarding process to ensure new vendors are setup promptly while meeting our risk management program including requirements for financial compliance and sustainability programs
Issue purchase orders for indirect goods and services globally; partner with internal customers and external vendors to troubleshoot any delivery, quality, or billing issues
Receive goods in the purchasing system
Manage the database for product change notifications from suppliers and work to obtain impact assessments from Quality, Manufacturing, Process Development and Analytical Development
Negotiate equipment service and other contracts with vendors and ensure appropriate level of service based on risk
Analyze different sources of supplier data and build reports on spend, delivery, and quality metrics
Implement e-procurement tools such as punchout catalogs
Provide ad hoc training and support for internal customers on the purchasing process and system
Support documentation of purchasing policies and ensure adherence
Support other sourcing and procurement activities
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or similar fields with a minimum of five (5) years of supply chain, procurement, or related experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
Experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle NetSuite or similar
Experience performing advanced data analysis using Microsoft Excel
Can be a primary contact on projects or business processes
Organization and project management skills
Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $85,822 to $128,732. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
