This is a senior, industrial sales role responsible for prospecting for new customers, and growing business within existing accounts for key municipal and industrial projects. This person serves as a Key Account Manager responsible for generating profitable business by establishing relationships and credibility within identified client base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure excellent service delivery and dependability to increase retention and growth of customer base
Prospect new customers within the industrial space in assigned geography.
Act as a resource to customers in understanding wastewater compliance by using consultative selling techniques to teach customers about what services we provide the industry and offer unique perspectives on the services we perform for their business.
Own client relationship throughout the project timeline, to ensure clear communication with client and internal operations teams.
Research prospective lines of business to identify the right customers to sell to.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans for Industrial/Manufacturing and local municipalities to support the company in achieving profitable revenue growth (e.g., detailed revenue potential estimates for all sites, analysis of decision process and key players, weekly plans for activity and revenue growth for each account).
Maintain an accurate CRM sales funnel by documenting all customer interactions, quotes, and closed won jobs in SalesForce.
Successfully propose, negotiate, and close profitable revenue opportunities at existing and new account locations by leveraging strong relationships with senior environmental and operations executives.
Evaluate customer needs, understand market drivers and forces, and ensure appropriate service delivery and pricing.
Understand account profitability, value, and potential to develop strategy to maximize profit and increase market share.
Prepare bids and manage projects, equipment, labor, subcontractors, and other resources for customers.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience selling into industrial manufacturing facilities
Experience selling into municipal wastewater facilities
Familiarity and demonstrated success in securing bids in municipal accounts
Experience in wastewater treatment and management
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to evaluate price, profitability, and resources needed for projects
Effective at managing large, complex projects
Demonstrated strong business acumen
Demonstrated fortitude and perseverance to work through customer adjustments and adaptability to address unanticipated challenges.
Ability to develop credibility and nurture relationships
Experience working within a CRM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of wastewater industrial knowledge/experience preferred
Ability to travel locally, within geographic territory -Up to 75%
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong account management background
