Job Description:

In charge of planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive medical practice Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program including utilization management, risk management, and patient safety initiatives. Programs CQI with each individual department and educates management and directors on implementation of quality techniques with aim to create a culture of quality. Creates and maintains Dashboard of key metrics for internal benchmarking Works with outside organizations on benchmarking metrics Monitors medical practice efforts to ensure compliance with internal and external QI standards. Works with staff, management, and physicians to support patient safety work and reporting. Runs reports, analyzes data, prepares slides and presents on CQI initiatives, making recommendations for projects and/or process changes Coordinates the effort to gather data from different locations and prepare reports (e.g. run charts) for internal and external benchmarking Finds opportunities to implement QI methodology to improve the practice Monitors utilization and service quality through diagnosis-related group (DRG) review, HEDIS quality measures, payer/provider/patient satisfaction surveys, and complaints. Responsible for Total Joint Arthroplasty Quality reporting in coordination with local hospital QI departmentsOther duties as assigned
