The Digital Technology team of designers, researchers, and developers is dedicated to meeting the digital needs of jewelry professionals and buyers. Projects encompass everything from concept to creation and craft an experience for large scale B2B e-commerce, responsive web, customer shopping sites, and more. This team blends coding skills with design sensibilities, contributing to the creation, maintenance, and support of various web applications.
The Sr .NET Developer is responsible for designing and developing web applications for usability, performance, and high availability, as well as improving code quality and team knowledge through code reviews and evolving coding standards under the leadership of the Sr Director of Digital Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop web applications for usability, performance, and availability
Participate in regular code reviews to improve code quality and team knowledge
Lead architecture discussions and decisions
Learn new technologies and teach team members
Analyze and automate business processes for efficiency
Provide accurate breakdowns of work with estimates
Implement web services and APIs
Perform data migration, transformation, and scripting
Take ownership of projects and follow through completely with a focus on identifying automation opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
7+ years of experience in web development
Functional knowledge of C#, MVC, REST, VB.Net, SQL, HTML, CSS / Bootstrap, and modern JavaScript libraries
Functional knowledge of Cloud-Native development practices and a deep understanding of Domain Driven Design and architecture patterns
Experience with GraphQL
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Ecommerce and/or Salesforce knowledge
