A successful Senior Business Data Analyst will develop and present data-driven insights to improve customer supply chains. Specifically, they will understand technical requirements, anticipate customer needs, analyze data, create practical insights, and develop business intelligence dashboards to entice partners to improve their supply chains. They will do this by leveraging both logistics/transportation business knowledge and analytical foresight to serve as the primary point-of-contact for all business intelligence activity. Business intelligence activity will include reporting, visualization, analysis, dashboard demonstrations, presentations, and training.
What the Candidate Will Do
Leverage Uber Freight data to develop reports and dashboards, improvement of existing reports and metrics, and analysis of data that give concrete insights to various teams
Serve as primary analytical consultant and coordination point for customer reporting. Communicate with customers to gather system constraints and requirements
Perform freight cost, service and carrier management analysis
Work with operations teams to generate freight benchmarking, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and determine meaningful KPIs for the customer
Present current reporting capabilities and insights to decision makers
Support and establish efficient and automated processes for testing, assessing, tracking of data quality
Support and establish quality controls and cross company alignment of key performance indicators
Identify and communicate to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for assigned area(s) of responsibility
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or another related field
Minimum 3 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in the transportation industry working with SQL, Tableau (or closely related business intelligence software) in a reporting / data analysis capacity
